Doe a Deer || Halloween Makeup

This Halloween look was so much fun to create and I’m so happy with the final result! I’ve seen lots of people do it and I wanted to give it a try and make it my own. If I was to go all out for a Halloween party I would definitely be rocking this makeup for the night, I love it!

Step one: After applying my regular foundation routine, I used white face paint and a beauty sponge and blended it around my eyes and the bridge of my nose.

Step two: This is where you can get creative. I used brown gel eyeliner and just mapped out where I wanted everything to go. Check out Pinterest for some other peoples Deer makeup.

Step three: Using a blending brush and a matte brown shadow, I then softened up the harsh lines of the eyeliner so that it looked more 3D.

Step four: Taking dramatic spiky lashes (this is optional) I then placed them under my eye to give the illusion of “doe eyes”. I also put a regular pair of lashes on my upper lid as well.

Step five: Taking the white face paint and the back of a brush, I placed spots on the highest part of my cheek bones and in the centre of my forehead.

Step six: To give that dark brown deer like colour, I took a really dark matte bronzer and really contoured my cheek bones and temples. This step would be better before the spots but I forgot, whoops!

Step seven: For your lip colour you really can choose anything you want but I kept it simple and actually used my eyebrow pencil to outline my lips then filled with Bobbi Brown Beige lipstick.

Hope you enjoyed. Good luck!

Dead/Zombie Flapper Girl

Normally I’m not one to go all intense and scary on Halloween, but I thought I would do this pic-torial for the people out there who do! I know it’s not super hardcore, but it is very wearable and a fun twist on the look. Ill be putting up a couple more makeup looks for Halloween, so stay tuned!

STEP ONE:

Instead of white face paint I used a foundation that was very light. You can do either or but I wanted my face to look more natural.

STEP TWO:

With any black eyeshadow, layer it with a flat shader brush on your top lid right up to your crease. Take it also on your lower lash line then with a black gel eyeliner rim the upper and lower waterlines.

STEP THREE:

Taking chocolate from MAC (any warm tone brown will do) blend out the harsh edges and extend it to around your temple.

IMG_3975

STEP FOUR:

Using what was left on my brush from the eyeliner, make vein looking lines around the lower lash line. Make sure to be light handed with this so it looks as realistic as possible.

STEP FIVE:

With a purple liner, line the inner corner of your eye and some of the lines you made for veins. **This is optional

IMG_3978

STEP SIX:

Using Desert Rose blush from MAC, blend from your temple down into the hollows of your cheek. This will give you a “sickly” looking contour.

STEP SEVEN:

You can choose to wear any lipstick you want but I wanted something rich and dark so I used Joe Fresh “Plum Prune” and then MAC “night moth” on the outer corners to give my lips depth.
