These two scents are my absolute favourite at the moment. They’re sensual with woodsy and floral under notes and make you feel like you smell like a goddess.

(Narciso Rodriguez and Miss Cherie Dior)

If you decided to go a little more casual on the outfit you can always have fun with your fingernails. These colours are great for Valentine’s Day!

(OPI “Feelin hot-hot-hot”, Essie “Bahama Mama“, OPI “Lucky Lucky Lavender“, Revlon “Plum Seduction“)

Pastel colours are super in right now and I’m really feelin’ this dress. It’s one of those dresses that you can keep classic and simple, or amp it up with accessories.

Blue & Beige || New Year Thankfulness

Well, 2015 is here and I seriously cannot express how excited I am and what is to come. 2014 was filled with lots of love, happiness, sadness, decisions and emotions. I cannot be more grateful for every single person who has impacted my life last year and continues to challenge me daily.

This year I am making more time for adventures, being present and really challenging myself with this blog. Well, with YouTube to be honest. I want to really focus on making videos that can really help and teach people different tips and tricks with beauty related topics. I believe I have a gift and with it I want to share it. Making some one feel beautiful is really what fuels my passion. With working in the wedding industry and teaching makeup, I see how many women are affected with their appearance and what they want to “change”. My heart is to show them the beauty they have and little ways to show confidence (through hair and makeup in my case) and to feel beautiful.

Thank you to all of you who have been nothing but kind and supportive to me through this journey and have never doubted me. I absolutely love what I do and am so thrilled for what 2015 has to offer.

As for todays post. Just a fun winter outfit that I put together (blue and beige, surprise, right?)  that I thought you may enjoy!

Stay warm, friends!

How To: Fake Fishtail

This post is for all those girls out there that have a hard time doing cool braids or fishtails with their hair. This is seriously the easiest hairstyle and it looks EXACTLY like a fishtail but even better. I hope this helps you out and that you love it as much as I do!

Step One:

Starting at the back of your head, grab two pieces of hair and tie them together with a clear elastic (you can get these at shoppers for $5.00). Once you’ve secured it with the elastic, pull the lower half through the hole that the upper pieces leave in between.

Step Two:

Grabbing another two pieces do the exact same thing. Make sure the hair you grab is all different sizes so that the end result has more texture.

Step Three:

Continue the first step all the way to the ends of your hair and secure with an elastic. This method of using elastics ensures your hair will stay all day where as a regular fishtail can fall out if you don’t have all one length hair.

Step Four:

For extra fullness, lightly tug at random pieces to make it more messy and effortless.

Good Luck!

Weekend Hair | 3 ways

When it comes to the weekend I love dressing chill and trying fun things with my hair. Of course if I have to work or go to an event then I’ll amp it up, but for the most part, weekends are for RELAXING.

This is 3rd day hair for me so I added some light waves for some extra texture.

Take the middle section of your hair and put it into a ponytail, leaving out 2 inch pieces at either sides of your head.

Taking strands from each section, start twisting them and lightly running your fingers up and down to rough them up a bit.

Wrap the twist around your pony and secure with a bobby pin or tuck it into the elastic.

Continue this until your elastic is fully covered. Take different size twists so that it doesn’t look too uniform.

This is a great way to spice up the regular pony.

Or braid

and fishtail.

Five Faves : Lip Balm

We all know that with colder weather comes dry, cracked lips. This is probably one of my least favourite things about the colder months but there are ways to combat it! Down below are some of my favourite lip balms and a great lip scrub that I use all Fall and Winter. You really can never have enough of them, so with that being said, enjoy!

1. DIOR Rose smoothing balm

This product is a little bit on the pricey side but it is worth every penny. It really soothes any irritations or dryness and lightly plumps my lips while doing so. Can’t say no to bigger looking lips. To top it off it has a slight rose scent to give it that luxe feel.

2. VASELINE Lip Therapy

When in need, use Vaseline! We all know this product to be deeply hydrating and completely soften up the lips. I like to use this like a mask before I go to bed because it’s so dense in texture and really soaks into my lips leaving them soft and kissable in the morning.

3.  C.O. BIGELOW Rose Salve

Can you tell I have a thing for rose scented products? This lip balm is great because not only does it hydrate my lips but I love prepping with it before I put on my lipstick for the day. It also has a light red tint to it so it can also be worn on its own for a more natural look. Only downside to this product is that it can be really hard to open.

4. EOS Strawberry

Of course I had to include the famous EOS lip balm because, lets be real, we all have one. This is a great product to carry in your purse or bag because it’s so easy to find and apply. No messy fingers after applying, just a quick swipe of this on your lips and you’re good to go. It isn’t as moisturizing as the previous balms but does the job and smells good while doing so.

5. LUSH Mint Julips Lip Scrub

Now, I know this isn’t a lip balm but it goes with any of them to really get that extra soft lip. This exfoliator is all natural and really takes off all the dead skin from your lips without over doing it. It is made with real sugar and tastes like mints so you can just eat it after your finished exfoliating. Mixing this with any of the lip balms will make the texture less abrasive.

November Wear

It’s starting to get colder here in Canada and Christmas is less than 50 days away, can you believe it?! The Holidays are my favourite time of year, especially at Starbucks with all their yummy drinks and treats. Today’s look is a little dressy for a Friday but I still went with it! I love scarves and using them as a main accessory, such a great way to “cozy” up the outfit. All of these items are super affordable and in store still, so if you love it, grab it!

Hope you enjoyed your week and have a safe weekend.

Luxury Makeup: THREE FAVES

When it comes to luxury makeup, I’m extremely picky with deciding since I’ll be spending a pretty penny. Originally I went into Sephora knowing the exact products I wanted, and to my luck, they were sold out of both items, THE WORST. After an intense search party of maybe finding them, I left with three different products that I would of never picked out myself. One of the Cast Members (Sales Associates) helped me find some other options, and I have to say, I am quite happy with what I bought. By no means do you need to buy expensive makeup to look/feel beautiful, but for me, it’s a little splurge that I like to do once in a while.

All items can be found on

(some countries may not be able to get these)

If you follow me on this blog, or know me in person, then you know my obsession with MAC’s lipstick in Faux. Well, Ladies and Gentlemen… I have a new favourite! This is the absolute PERFECT colour. It’s a nude, pinky-mauve, a your lip but better colour. It’s creamy, glides on and really does stay on way better then Faux. It complements my skin and really is such a beautiful colour. I HIGHLY recommend this lipstick if your trying to find an everyday colour that lasts and is easy to wear. If you want a more ash-pink tone lipstick then try out Bobbi Brown “Pale Pink”.

Originally I went to Sephora because I wanted to buy Hourglass Ambient powder in Dim Light. After a sad let down of not having it, one of the girls showed me this and said that it was even better and gave a nice finish to the face. I love that it is a peach hue which really compliments me. It blurs the look of pores and is a beautiful finish to the face. I just mix all four colours together and lightly sweep it onto my face for a light soft peach glow. It keeps my makeup on longer and has the BEST smell to it. Givenchy, you may be expensive but I think that this brand is super under rated and needs to be mentioned more. Great packaging and presentation, I almost don’t want to touch it so I don’t ruin it!

I’ve been on a hunt for a new mascara so when I was told about this I was hesitant because I’ve never heard any reviews on it. After using it, everyone needs to have this. If you like full, thick black lashes then this is your baby. It has the sleekest packaging and really builds up volume and creates fake looking lashes. I love using this with a heavier eye and really layer it up so that it looks dramatic. A tip for anyone using mascara, use more then one coat to really see results. The first coat doesn’t do justice to the mascara, you need to build it up to see what it’s made out of!
